There is no option to cancel a request for a recommendation letter as the email that was sent containing the request can no longer be taken back.

Here are a couple of options that you can do in this situation.

1. Email your letter writer and inform them to ignore/delete the request that you have sent.

2. Create a new request and inform your letter writer to ignore the previous request that you have sent.
